Android 13

Is an “Artificial Human No.13”. He is Dr. Gero’s 13th Android creation, his creation was to continue Gero’s vendetta against Goku who had overthrew the Red Ribbon Army as a child.

Cell noted that Android 13 could be considered as a prototype to him because he had the ability to absorb other androids.

Within the main timeline Android 13 was destroyed by Gero, but in a parallel world Android 13 makes an appearance in the film “Dragon Ball: Super Android 13!”.

He appears to be a muscular man with green/blue eyes and long white hair. He wears a yellow-brown coloured vest which has the Red Ribbon Army logo on his left side. There are also small grey suspenders under his vest. Dark green trousers, dark grey boots with black toe tips, black gloves and a grey and yellow baseball cap with he Red Ribbon Army logo on it to top it off.

Dr. Gero made this the first android to wear a cap without it having a glass domed cranium underneath.

Android 13 was created by Dr. Gero to destroy Goku. At first, he was dead set on his goal even though he seemed pretty chilled out about the approach of it. In the Funimation Dub his attitude was based off the stereotypical “redneck”, Future Trunks also referred to him as a Red Ribbon Redneck at a point.

Android 13 makes several remarks to Red Indians when noting that Goku wasn’t capable of handling the “Indians”. When he was using the S.S. Deadly Bomber, he also makes a brief reference to heat stroke when Goku attempts to block the attack by noting that Goku had been “out in the sun without his hat on for way too long.” In the Dub he scarcely refers to Goku by name, he preferred to call him by other names such as “city boy,” “son” or “boy”. He only referred to Goku by name 3 times: first time was when he was activated, second was when he stated that he will complete his mission to kill goku to future trunks and last was just before his destruction.

Funimation’s dub shows an extended glimpse into Android 13’s psyche when he tells Future Trunks about how people have misused and abused their free-will to create more sufferings such as war, segregation and hatred.

Android 13 shows that he is a lot more confident and demented in his Super form, in the Japanese dub he never spoke apart from yelling Goku’s name upon his death.

He is a lot more frantic and savage character in this form and also, as he punches Goku in the crotch, almost breaks vegeta’s back, grabs and blasts Trunk’s skull and steps on Piccolo’s face while charging his key.
