Android 8

Android 8 is an Artificial Human No. Eight who tends to be referred to as Eighter after Goku suggested this name for him.
Android 8 was Dr Gero’s 8th android creation but the first to function properly.
Android 8 was designed to serve for the Red Ribbon Army but was claimed as “Faulty” due to his good-spirited nature.

General white threatened Eighter with an ultimatum: either kill Goku or the Jingle Village Chief would be shot dead, Goku chose to stop the conflict by turning his back allowing White to shoot him in the back.
White’s actions caused great pain for Eighter as he seen Goku, his first friend, hurt he became enraged and punched White clean out of Muscle Tower’s highes window. He then destroys the tower putting an end to a part of the Red Ribbon Army.

Android 8 was first introduced by Ninja Murasaki who wanted to use him against Goku.
Eighter point blank refused to fight against Goku so he was threatened to be blown up by a remote control but Goku was able to save him by knocking the trigger out of Murasaki’s hand and knocking him out.

Eighter found a dragon ball that the army had been searching for and decided to hide it, knowing that they were intending to kill all the villagers once the dragon ball had been found.
The head of the village had chosen to welcome Eighter to live with them which he had accepted.
Goku helped Eighter and Suno by visiting Dr. Flappe who is an expert in machinery to ask to remove the bomb within Eighter’s chest, he was successful.

Eighter is seen again during the King Piccolo Saga of Dragon Ball when he went to rescue Suno after she had fallen victim to King Piccolo’s assault on King Castle. The last appearance of Android 8 was in “Lost and Found” in the Dragon Ball anime.
Android 8 then re-appears as cameos in Dragon Ball Z. The most well known would be during the Kid Buu Saga, while Goku was forming a Spirit Bomb, Android 8 and his fellow villagers helped supply Goku with their energy to use against Kid Buu.
During this Android 8 also proved that the Dragon Balls revive even artificial life along with Earth’s inhabitants.
