Thor had it's premier in Sydney on the 17th of April in 2011 and then it's initial release was on the 21st of April until the 3rd of November. There was a 2nd premier in California on the 2nd of May 2011.
Thor is cast out of his home, the fantastc realm of Asgard, by Odin, his father, for his arrogance. He is sent to live amongst the humans on Earth. He falls in love with a scientest, Jane Foster, who teacher Thor some very much-needed lessons. He found new strength that comes into play when a villian from his homeland sends a dark force to Earth.
